I first met Mr Momin on 10th October 2018 at St Georges Hospital after referral from my local heart specialist. At that time I knew very little about him. Within minutes of meeting him I knew I was in very good hands. His demeanor and comforting manner put me completely at ease and he explained in clear detail what the operation and recovery would involve. My wife who accompanied me felt exactly the same about him. On 15th October he carried out a quadruple heart bypass on me. My veins were harvested from my legs by key hole surgery which reduced the risk of wound infection and I was very grateful he chose not to take any veins from my arms. I was in hospital for 5 days after which I was allowed to go home. During that time Mr Momin came to see me twice to reassure me that the operation had gone well and that I could expect a complete recovery. I was on Benjamin Weir ward and the nursing staff were wonderful. The team of trained nurses were very professional and caring and I knew I was being given the best care possible. Six weeks after my operation Mr Momin saw me for a follow-up appointment and was very pleased with my progress. He discharged me there and then and told me I could contact him any time if I had a problem. Mr Momin is an wonderful surgeon who puts the care of his patients first. His compassionate nature and his dedication to his patients is evident for all to see. God bless you Mr Momin.

What an amazing surgeon Mr Momin has been for me.He and his team assured me all the way during the procedure on what was going to happen .He had also listened to me that I was keen to get back to playing golf and other sports so he was able to harvest arteries from the mammary in the chest for the bypass surgery meaning no arm or leg scarring.I was able to walk unaided within 24 hours without discomfort and be given the go ahead to be discharged 4 days after the operation.I have recently been back to St George’s to discuss with Mr Momin what happens next (9 weeks on) and he’s quite happy with my progress which has assured me.An amazing and surreal experience.

I had a triple bypass on the 18th June at St Georges. The surgeon scheduled to do the surgery was held up and Mr Momin stepped in which was quite daunting as I hadn't met him or knew anything about him. However, I agreed for him to go ahead, the operation was a success and I was home within the week. Despite the circumstances of my surgery my recovery has been good due entirely to the skills of Mr Momin and his team. The only criticism I would make is the lack of information from the hospital on my discharge particularly that I may, and did, suffer with panic attacks, anxiety etc.

I had a double heart bypass surgery performed by Mr Aziz Momin on 4th June 2018. It was a Monday and on Friday 8th June l was at home starting my recovery. I only met Mr Momin one week before the operation,he showed me my Angiogram pictures from a month earlier,and explained to me in a very understandable way that I needed the surgery ASAP. I wasn’t in any pain so the shock at this was huge. But Mr Momin with the help of his nurse made me feel a lot easier. Mr Momin came and spoke to me on the ward before the operation and even ask me who he could call for me after the operation. And he himself did this and when I came round in ICU my son was there with Mr Momin. He is the ultimate professional and I can’t thank him enough. And I must also thank his team who were also very professional and that includes all the staff on Benjamin Weir Ward. Thank you all very much.

I am extremely grateful to Mr Momin for my cardiac bypass operation . He showed compassion and spoke in an easy way for me to understand the procedure of my operation . I feel very lucky that Mr Momin handled my case. Words cannot express the way that I feel I am over the moon with the results . I saw Mr Momin yesterday the 15th June 2018 and he said to me that I had a new engine and live my life which made me feel special. I am a carpenter by trade and thought I was a skilled craftsman but nothing compares to the expertised I received and the way i was treated
